This session will explore how the Office of Pre-College Programs at the University of Mississippi aims to impact college success outcomes through K-12 student programming. Opportunities for students to visit campus and participate in academic field trips, summer intensive programs, or bridge programs all help students get a feel for "what college is like." However, true tenacity is built through engaging in the beautiful struggle of learning. Our student programs are designed with a holistic sense of college success in mind, helping students of any age complete academically rigorous coursework, learn outside of the classroom through co-curricular lessons, and develop skills to increase a sense of belonging, providing a durable foundation for postsecondary success.
