Benton's Digital Bookshelf - In this session, Dr. Kim Benton, retired Chief Academic Officer with the MS Department of Education. will share free, high-impact resources that can support K-12 educators in their professional growth journey. Resources to support evidence-based instruction for general education students and diverse student populations will be the primary focus.

About the Presenter:
Dr. Kim S. Benton, with 40 years of service in public education in Mississippi, served as Interim State Superintendent of Education in 2022 and Chief Academic Officer in 2012-2018 tasked with leading the implementation of hallmark initiatives including the Early Childhood Collaborative Act, Mississippi K-12 College and Career Ready Standards, and the Literacy-Based Promotion Act.
Dr. Benton has served as a consultant, author, and trainer for the Academic Development Institute providing leadership services to the National Comprehensive Center, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, and multiple state departments of education and Regional Comprehensive Centers. She has served as Associate Professor in Educational Leadership at William Carey University and as an adjunct instructor for Mississippi State University and the University of West Alabama.
